These two maps appear in Shatterwing.
The first map is of the prison vineyard. The second map is of the Sartell region. While I penned the first crude versions, the lovely Russell Kirkpatrick converted them to ‘real’ maps for me. Russell came up with the idea to shade the vineyard according to grape/wine varieties so I had to do a bit of quick thinking there to make up names. For the record I used to grow Sauvigon Blanc and Shiraz grape varieties. And this is the lovely result and you can see so much better in colour. Many thanks to Mark for asking me to put them up.
The idea of the village as it was mostly self-supporting. There was a forest for providing the wood for wine barrels and a home farm with only a few deliveries arriving with new prisoners.
