Another weekend with manuscripts. It was raining so that’s not so bad. Manuscript number 39 took me three evenings to get through (Wed, Thurs and Fr). Number 40 took most of Saturday and number 41 Saturday evening and all of Sunday. I’m starting number 42 tonight but going to watch a movie first.
The next few MSs are quite long, over 100,000 words. At this stage I am pretty sure I’ll be done by the end of the month. I am hoping for sooner though.
I have 12 to go! That is if I don’t find an extra one. Number 40 was one that I hadn’t written down so my 53 turned to 54.

Also, would you recommend the iPad for writing/editing duties? You mentioned you used one and I have been considering getting one as a more portable laptop replacement for writing when out and about.

I use the iPad for more portable reading, using the Goodreader application. I don’t use it for writing as I don’t believe it is as flexible for that. However I do believe you can get a keyboard and an application to help you write.
I have used the iPad notes function (same as the iPhone) and emailed notes and scenes to myself. I think it is very functional generally.

Hmm, sounds like it would be more of a laptop accompaniment than a laptop replacement. Maybe I’ll skip picking one up for now.
Mind you, that’s what I said about the iPhone…
